Our restaurant is open daily with a full menu including the infamous Steak for Two.

Our new office is up and running and our old office is now an "INTERNET CAFE"
offered for you to use free if you are a paying guest of our resort!  Our new office is located next to our playground and has really added the finishing touch to our resort this year. We also now have cell phone coverage around our office if you have a Verizon cell phone.  This has limited connectivity just around our office area and we ask that you be respectful of others as only 3 can connect at one time.  This is not for kids to be using for text messaging etc... but is a wonderful upgrade for people that need to stay connected while away from home.  Our internet cafe has 2 computers for you to use and wireless for those that have their own laptops to bring in.

Take some time to check out our picture gallery We added some new rental properties to our program, one is called the Rainbow Cottage and is located on the Big Pine Creek with access to the Pine Creek Rail Trail. We also added the Dun Rov'n Cabin that is located on the front of our property on Little Pine Creek Road. You can see pictures of both of these cabins on our picture gallery along with our other cabins.
Our renovation project on Little Cabin is done and we have renamed it the Squirrels Nest Cabin. Now a beautiful 2 bedroom cabin with a jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom 2 decks and large pictures windows throughout, it is a great cabin for families etc.... Our Restaurant and General Store are open and the Liquor License is in place and Steak for Two is back!!  Over the last year or so we have made significant changes to our restaurant and general store building.  If you know what the building looked like before you will be amazed at the changes!  We have a new roof, new windows, and new log siding on the outside.  Inside, our main dining room received a much needed face lift with a new ceiling, new flooring, wains-coating and tongue and groove on the walls, and new lighting. Many of our rooms have new furniture and we are ready to host you party, business meeting or other large gathering.  Along with all the physical renovations we have acquired a liquor license and are now serving alcohol.
The restaurant is now under new management and we welcome Vickie and Bryan and their staff as they cater to all of our resort guests and other friends and neighbors that come out to visit, to enjoy good company and great food!  They are also running the General Store and Ice Cream Parlor located next to the restaurant.  Here they have homemade treats along with groceries and gifts, and of course the wonderful Perry's Ice Cream with a multitude of unique flavors.
The restaurant now has new hours and a menu that is posted on our restaurant page though Vicky is working on a new menu, just click here RESTAURANT and see what is new.

See the restaurant page for more information on the Happy Acres Restaurant and General Store.

More information about our resort:

We've had an interesting variety of pets come stay with us over the years, some of the more interesting were a pet goat, our first horses and even Peyton the cat!  Click on our pets page to see  pictures of the various animals, such as Rufus Swartley the goatl  His owners say all they have to do is pull out the camper and he gets excited knowing he is going camping!  You can also see Buck and Skip who took their owners, the Massaro's, on a beautiful mountain trail ride.  They parked their horse trailer for the evening and took an early morning ride, stopped back to eat at the restaurant and went out for an afternoon ride. We are so glad people are bringing pets and as they do we are finding out how creative people with pets on vacation can be!  We have had many dogs from the tiniest little Yorkies to an extra large Great Dane, and it seems the animals have as much fun as the people do!   If you come visit us and bring your pet, be sure to stop by the office and let us know so we can get your picture to put on our pets page!

The local streams and the lake at Little Pine State Park have been busy with people fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.  We have had quite a few campers bring their 4-wheelers up to take to the local Haneyville ATV trail.  The rail-trail and the state hiking trails are a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors, get some great exercise and view the local wildlife.  And there is much wildlife to see here, such as the bald eagles nesting at the state park.  We have had sightings of bear around the campground, along with deer, turkey and bobcat, blue heron's, woodpeckers and of course lots of squirrels and chipmunks gathering acorns for winter.  So much to see, so much to do - so make some plans to come relax and enjoy one of the prettiest mountain areas of Pennsylvania!  We look forward to a peaceful fall and hope you come visit!

Weddings

w

Rachel and Mark were married at our Happy Acres Lodge.  This creative couple walked over the covered bridge and were officially married while their guests watched from the deck of the Lodge.  After the ceremony the couple and their friends and family celebrated with a reception at the Happy Acres Restaurant!  It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and we are so happy they chose to have a Happy Acres Wedding!!!
You can go to our wedding page to see pictures of this wedding and also of  Tina and Skip's reception that they held at our Lodge back in the spring of 2006.   It seems the Lodge turned out to be a perfect setting for Skip and Tina's "big day" and they enjoyed it so much they are making it a yearly vacation spot !!
Click here to see some wedding pictures from both weddings.  We would enjoy working with you to plan a mountain wedding for you.  Our restaurant has the facilities to hold banquets and cater gathering.  Kim will work with you to create the perfect menu for your special occasion.  This is a picturesque setting for an outdoors wedding ceremony. If you would like more information please call our office and set up an appointment to meet with us to discuss the possibilities.
